Testing, evaluating and additional training to improve the knowledge of Seafarers is an important aspect of recruitment and periodic assessment. Thus, Hanseatic with the assistance of its Principals set up a training facility with a 180° Marine Navigational Simulator System.

In addition, a separate Blind Bridge facility has been established to enhance the knowledge of the seafarers in blind bridge navigation.

The navigational simulator is compliant with SOLAS / STCW / IMO / ISO conventions, recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the seafarers evaluation and issuance of the corresponding license.

The facility is accredited by the Maritime Training Council (MTC) to offer Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork (SSBT) courses and by the PRC to offer practical assessment for licensure examinations.

ERS-NTPRO Joint Operation

Joint functionality between the bridge and engine simulators allows for a total ship simulation environment, combining the training of engineering and deck personnel in a single exercise. This in turn strengthens coodination and efficiency between the engine room and bridge.

The training is conducted in-house by Marine Officers at no cost to Hanseatic seafarers.
